I have an odd name, but as I tell the kids, Ms. Thais rhymes with face, and I like to keep a 

smile on mine!

I am a native Memphian and a product of our local Catholic schools (as are my own grown children). After being raised by a couple of teachers and swearing I would never ever put myself through that, here I am 20 years later... and loving it!

Since 2004, SFA has been my extended family and home away from home. As the art teacher, I am blessed to work with the kids as they grow, year after year, and see the progress they make over an extended period of time. They come to my studio expecting to make messes and play in the goo (which we do!), just don't tell them that they're also picking up math, language, science, history, and problem-solving skills while they're here. (That might spoil the fun!) I love to see their gears turn as they work on their projects and figure out how to create something original. I tell them that, like them, my goal is to learn something new every day!
