Third Grade Teacher
Welcome to third grade at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic School!
Third grade is an exciting time. Our students are spreading their wings and discovering their academic abilities, boundless spirituality, and the talents that make them unique individuals. They grow in the realization that they are part of a larger Christian community committed to the service of others.
I have had the pleasure to teach in the Catholic Diocese of Memphis for 34 years. After graduating from Glassboro State College in New Jersey, I enjoyed teaching first graders for four years in public school before moving to Memphis. I was quickly able to obtain a second- grade teaching position at Holy Rosary Catholic School and discovered that Catholic Schools are where I belong! I made the move from there to Saint Ann (my parish) where it was my pleasure to teach first, second, and third grades for thirteen years. In addition to teaching, I was also the coordinator of First Sacraments and Director of Vacation Bible School for the parish.
When Saint Francis Catholic School opened in 2004, I was thrilled to join the third grade team and have been blessed to teach here for nineteen years. At SFACS, we work, learn, play and pray in a warm, safe, and nurturing environment. It is a large family of diverse cultures, experiences, talents, and challenges with the common goal to make a better life through excellence in academics, development of individual talents, and service to others.
