A little about me
Hello, everyone! My name is Mrs. Patti Kintz, and I am so excited to be teaching our 5th grade RISE class this year! Helping children learn to love learning and be their best selves is a passion of mine, and I am blessed to have been called to a career that I love. I have a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Mississippi, and I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Teaching through the University of Memphis. This is my third year teaching, but my first year teaching at SFA. Prior to this year, I taught middle school ELA and History at Immaculate Conception Cathedral School.
My husband and I have 7 children (ages 24, 22, 20, 16, 12, and twin 9 year olds), who I tell stories about in class constantly. We also have a dog named Carmen and a cat named Elizabeth. Our house is crazy, but I manage to find a little time for some hobbies aside from spending time with my family. I traveled to Honduras this past summer on a mission trip, which is something that I have done every summer for the past three years. I enjoy learning Spanish and getting to practice when I travel. I have been training Brazilian jiu-jitsu for 6 years and have a purple belt. I also love to read almost anything.
