Linda Thomas 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Grammar/Writing
Hello! I'm Linda Thomas, and I am so very excited to still be part of the SFA family. This is my 5th year at SFA and I'm so excited for the new school year. This marks the beginning of year 26 of my teaching career. I graduated from Southwestern University in Dallas, as well as attended the University of New Orleans for Graduate studies. I moved to Memphis 10 years ago from New Orleans when I married Coach Thomas. We are both educators with one adult daughter. I spent six years teaching at St. Joseph Catholic School in the Memphis Metro. I became Catholic in New Orleans, while teaching at the Academy of Our Lady High School. When I'm not teaching I enjoy going to Malco Theater, dancing, walking, reading, and listening to audiobooks. I've been to all but 10 of the 50 states. Alaska was great because I love cold weather. Some of my favorite spots I've lived in are Colorado, Nebraska, California, Michigan, Seattle, and my home state of Louisiana. Geaux Saints!!! Once again I'll be teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th English and Writing. My favorite course to teach is definitely English. It's important for students to not only learn the components of English, but to be articulate as well. I'm really looking forward to the school year. Be Blessed and Welcome Back!!!
